Say it ain’t so! It appears that the next time you see Chris Evans, he’s going to look a little different. The actor announced on Tuesday that he has shaved off his very glorious beard for his role in Captain America, and it goes without saying that we are more than just a little disappointed to see it go.

“Dear beard, We had a good run, but this is where I leave you. Thank you for braving the Boston winter with me. I miss you already #Cap3Begins,” Evans Tweeted. And although the world is in mourning over the loss of his sexy beard, it’s safe to say that Evans will look good no matter what. He hasn’t made his clean-shaven debut yet, but we’ll be waiting with bated breath until he does. Meanwhile, seeing as how this is the season of fuzz-free faces, we can’t wait to see which bearded gent will surface sans facial hair next.
